I lose faith in humanity every time I go into Wal-Mart or my local grocery store. What happened to manners and common courtesy?? It seems like the vast majority of people in there (including employees) think they are the only ones in the store, acting as if they own the joint.
I receive looks of amazement and awe when i hold the door for an elderly person or reach for something for them from a top shelf. That should be COMMON, but the looks I get tell me that it is actually a rare occurrence. Sad, just sad. Yes, we are doomed.
