Re: YAY! het albino female finally arrived!
het albino males are fairly affordable. I actually purchased two so I could get a better deal. I paid $225 for two het males including shipping so that's what about $112 shipped, I tried to sell the extra male but didn't have any takers so he went into a trade deal locally.
Re: YAY! het albino female finally arrived!
Well tonight was feeding night and everyone has eaten with no problems. I was excited to get out the new female het as I have reluctantly let her settle in for a little over a week now. She is still so small and and a bit nippy so I didn't stress her. She took her rat pink with no problems! My last feed for the night is in progress now, my largest female is about to work down her rat.
WOO what more excitement could you ask for on a saturday night!
Re: YAY! het albino female finally arrived!
Congrats on the successful feeding, Tek. Feeding days are always a big deal around here, the 12 yr old and the 3 yr old just kinda stand there and watch in amazement. They're so morbid! lol
Re: YAY! het albino female finally arrived!
you know...I still get the same excitement EVERY time I see one of my snakes strike its meal and wrap it up as the first time I saw it. I guess it takes people like us to understand how "awesome" is it to behold such a site.

Very nice pair Heath. Can't wait to see the day you post that your first albino is peeking out of it's egg. Congrats again on acquiring these two!

AWESOME!! Very pretty animals! I slobber and drool for an albino and the pieds, but don't have the room, OR the money to try and establish a breeding collection....
But, my biggest reason for replying to Tek's thread here is because of his pics.
Aren't you concerned that something might spook the snake & s/he'd take off????? I don't imagine they'd be as FAST as a black mambo or king cobra, but aren't you afraid you couldn't catch them if they took off??? I'm encouraged by others to let Baby slither around the livingroom, but I'd HATE to have her dash off faster than I could catch her if she got scared! :(
Thx for listening. :) LOL

Thanks Adam!!! If Baby dashes away, will you be the one to come find her???? ;) LMBO
A learning session a minute, but I can't wait for my move, getting my spare room at the right temp and getting the next two additions to our snakey family!!! Even FD was asking about breeding, eggs, and if we'd be raising Baby's babies. *BAG* Unfortunately, I don't have the setup & funds to get that deeply involved in balls. :( *sigh* Maybe some day............A pied and albino is the goal.
