When she comes out, get rid of that log asap.

Also, if she isn't hungry or has eaten recently, then that rat won't make make difference in getting her out.

She’s due to eat today so I’m hoping covering the cage triggers her nighttime hunting lol

*If* she’s in deep enough you can work on enlarging the holes with a sturdy pair of needle-nose pliers, by getting a grip to 1/3-1/2 the jaw depth with the pliers, and breaking it off, nibbling away at it. Been there, watched my husband (stronger hands and wrists) do it.

i remember that the same thing happened the AKA Dave's BP - https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...w-what-do-I-do he's BP eventually came out and i hope your's does too. i have the smaller version of that tree and the smaller one doesn't have holes in it's base. plug it w/ aluminum foil or canned foam instead of newspaper b/c paper can mold.

Edit: also i would not leave a rat to defrost in the enclosure to entice it. your BP would be in trouble if it were to swallow a frozen or partially frozen rat/mouse. leave a fully defrosted one only.

It may take a day or two before she decides to come out.

Hopefully she comes out soon I'm sure she will eventually! Just be thankful she's not in shed when mine is in shed he tries to get as far away from anyone as he can and that would be the perfect place to do so!
