    The Night King
The problem with the T8 is that it's only 12" high. I just don't like reaching in straight at the snake. Plus the shorter tank hinders the visibility of the display. The T10 is a LITTLE taller but the same as we have now and I'm not fond of going in the front to get the snake out.

Our two main objectives for having the snake is:

    1. To have a calm snake we can handle often. 3-4x a week. So far he has been ok taking out but reaching straight in toward him is uncomfortable. Some of you have 1000 snakes and you are used to it, but that is not the case for me and my little one. Yet anyway. We prefer a top access cage but if that is not possibly it needs to be little higher (18"-24") to allow easier access.

    2. Having a really nice display. The more visibility the better. Shorter tank (12" or so) is just hard to really see unless the tank is eye level.

    Maybe a T12? 48x24x24

Big jump in price ....+$105 for 9" higher tank.

Sounds weird I know but we are new BP owners and just quirky I guess!!!

T10 is pretty much what you want to shoot for. It is tall enough for a snake to climb up a bit if desired and high enough for unrestricted access into the cage. I personally feel it is the perfect height for a BP

Re: How to make a glass type tank work with humidity?
It's all a matter of opinion, with taller cages you also are heating more space thus requiring more wattage to bump your ambient temperatures to the required levels.....not so much a big deal with the T10, but with the T12 you would be looking at a RHP and a UTH to properly heat that enclosure.

Both are great cages. If you think 3" inches more of vertical height is worth $45 more dollars to you, go for it. You made a good decision regardless.
