    Decided to go with boiling - took it over to my friends and put it in an outdoor rubber maid trough and sauce pan by sauce pan poured boiling water over it. Gonna let it cool and see how it looks after. If it gets ruined, well it was only 20 bucks at least I know there won't be any mites

    I figure a few hours completely submerged will be enough to drown any hitch hikers if the head didn't. Water is about 120* now (about an hour after adding last pot)...I may be over cautious but I was kids holding snakes then rummaging though all the tables of hides, fake plants, and other accessories.
