I suffer from social anxiety and depression as well so I totally understand how you feel. It is really great that you are getting the help you need and you can see and regonize the progress you are making! I know some people let the fear and sadness overtake them but you want to move forward and are doing what it take to make that happen! That takes some real strength

The outpouring of love and support from everybody is astounding. It warms my heart to see it. I'd also like to extend the offer that if anyone needs help that I'm here and I've battled through depression and am working on anxiety.

Really brave you to share! I have all the same and know exactly where you're coming from. One of the reasons I got my little BP was to help with my depression. Having to take care of another thing other than myself made me feel like life was worth living because I knew I had to take care of him and make him happy. Talking about my BP makes me more comfortable in myself bc many people dont like snakes and I have to be very strong in my values to stand up for my little guy. I dont mean to take over this thread from the OP so I hope this isn't too out of line, but it was essentially a long way of saying, stay strong, you're absolutely right about therapy and you're never alone, there are always people that want you to be happy and understand what you're going through

Axel28 just so you know, I love how active you are on this forum! You have absolutely no fear of asking all of us your questions about taking care of little Axel, and now here you are sharing something that a lot of us probably needed to hear! I'm looking forward to seeing more of you and Axel around here! (sorry if this is off topic, just had to say this :) )
