    I had the same thing when I got Viago a few weeks ago. I was constantly checking in his enclosure to see if he'd moved, if he looked okay, if he was breathing etc. As others have said, a hiding ball python is a happy ball python! Try to relax a little bit (I know from experience it can be hard with a new pet) and just get excited about handling him for the first time, watching him eat, seeing him grow - it's all uphill from here as long as your keeping him properly :)
