I love before and after pics. Nice looking boy. I think whenever a newbie comes on here panicking about their snake that hasn't eaten in three weeks, I will attach a link to this thread. Eight months is a long fast to be sure but he looks no worse for wear.

    Beautiful! Love the thick snakes!

my favorite snake is GODZILLA, you can see where she got her name, as I adopted her when she was 4 years old and already 2740 grams!

this second photo is only HALF of her length as she was escaping into the sectional sofa, but you can see her thickness here.

That was his longest fast ever !! And its totally my fault...

He is in the other room from the ones I started breeding late last year. Early January I was showing off one of my females to a family friend. Right after I held her, I pulled Jag out. I remember he INTENTLY kept smelling/tasting my arm. Right where I had the female just minutes earlier. I bet he must have smelled that lovely girl and realized there were females "in breeding mode" nearby.

Right after that he stopped eating , but would cruise "looking for love".
I guess he finally gave up...

And yes, he is such a healthy and big snake, that long fast barely even affected him. Very low loss of weight. Husbandry was perfect and he kept drinking and passing urates, so I wasn't to worried.

I'm glad he is eating again, though :)
