The second PIC I had to darken or you couldn't see her with the white tub background, the pattern is orange and not brownish as it looks in the 2nd photo.

That didn't sound right to me but Vin has great business ethics and everyone I know who has dealt with him loves him and his Snakes.. With that said the pattern has gotten worse so i emailed him. His response was "it would be cool to breed her and see what you might get, looks like a new morph". Well If I wasn't a man who loved Pets and I was a Breeder i would be pissed. I love her now so i wont sell/exchange/trade her but I must say since Im not buying anymore snakes I wanted this White Diamond to be what they are know for.. I could have spent 1/2 as much and gotten another Albino If i wanted white with orange again :/ (Pics to follow)

Well, that doesn't sound right to me.

I know you love her now, and want to keep her, but I wish the breeder would have given you a better response then this.

That said, she IS beautiful. You should have gotten what you paid for, though..

Glad she is doing ok for you. :)

Oh man. She is gorgeous, if it's any consolation. But definitely not pure white, as one would expect.

I got intrigued so I googled some Russo White Diamonds..

Most pictures I come up with do show a colored stripe or splotches along the back. However, there seems to be less color on them, then on yours..

You would have to make some better pictures on a dark back ground with some good light (no flash though or over bright).

This adult White Diamond has color, too

Yes I've seen a lot of pictures like that. I was told a lot of breeders are breeding Russo White diamonds now. Vins words I have from our emails are "My White Diamonds speak for themselves".... So I expected what the parents were. (PIC Below) These are the eggs from the clutch I got her from. Well I'm a sucker for a sweetheart and i believe things happen for a reason so my girl is now mine for as long as were here.. As a top breeder though I think he should have offered me something. Hopefully something happens with the pattern as now she looks like a white snake with a mess on her back hahahaha. My high Contrast Albino from Brian Sharp was only $250. But like i said, i love her, she is docile, inquisitive and a great eater.

A couple things come to my mind when I look at the "parents" picture..

These pictures are taken in BRIGHT light and look a bit over exposed. Which could have washed out a faint pattern.

On top of that, aside from the neck, you don't see any of the back or spine on that animal..

Actually, if you look close in the upper right corner of the first pic, you do notice a "off" color along the spine, a peachy looking stripe.

In regular light his animals probably do show that pattern. Most likely "lighter" then in your animal, but I bet its there. Simply because most of the pictures I find of this morph shows that pattern, too.

On yours you can almost see "faint" alien heads on the upper sides and a head marking, could she possibly be something "close" but not quite the White Diamond?

Remember, I don't know much about them at all..

Again, all that aside, she is gorgeous !!! And if she is friendly , healthy and a good eater on top of that, you have a wonderful snake.

But I understand the frustration with the breeder and his reply..

Your guess would be as good as mine if she is something else or not but with Vins 35 year reputation i doubt that. As with any animals, people (my breeder Rats included) different genes, colors, patterns can come out I guess.. Im a good 10 generations deep into my ASF's and i can get a tottaly different pattern/color ect out of a litter.
But anyways, she is a cool little girl :)

she looks kinda like a Pastel Champagne. what exactly was the pairing that produced her. the dam is a White Diamond, what was the sire - a Russo something? i would get her under a black light. maybe u will discover some cool patterns.

the "White Diamond" in that pix also has a buggy left eye. i wonder how common that might be. although this is a small sample, but this discussion is leading me to believe the White Diamond's rep as the purest white snake ain't really all that (unless there's something else at play and they aren't pure Super Russo's (White Diamond) ).

Edit: i hope Hannah, our resident BEL-complex superfan, will find this thread and chime in.
