    Beeps also need two identical hides and a water dish big enough to soak in. Hot side hide, cold side hide an water in the middle. Fake plants for security. And nothing sticky ever goes into the tank. Those round stick on gauges....no! No tape, no stick on stuff ever.

    Good points although none of my Ball pythons have ever soaked in bowls .. my Boas do and the Rat snakes also do .

    Thank you for your points! What I plan to do is, since I'm buying my BP as a baby, he's going to start out in a 10 gallon glass. I'll cover the back and sides by either clipping on a dark towel, or taping on black paper. eventually, I'll do the same with a 20 gallon. However, after than, I plan to build his final tank, since I'm in a family with a few people who can actually build things.
