    Quahog
Welcome to the forum! I just went through a husbandry boot camp as I'ma newbie. My hatchling, Coco, had a really bad shed with due to errors on my part and a wonky hygrometer.

Spend the extra on reliable environment monitoring for your baby :). I did like Sunnieskys, and built my kit over the span of a couple months, and will still be making tweaks as I go.

After some adjustments in my husbandry, this is what I'm currently using, and are only suggestions ;)

Really Useful Bin 9qt tub (Staples $15.99USD)
    Acurite Hygrometer (Lowes $59.99)
Reptile basics UTH 6x11 ($24.99 USD)
2 small hides ($4.99 USD each)
Vivarium Electronics VE-100 thermostat ($89.99 USD)
    Vivarium Electronics Scale ($24.99 USD)
Klein Tools Heat gun ($59.99 USD)
Reptile Basics Hygrometer / temp ($24.99 USD Buy this with caution. Mine may be faulty, though I'm using it for now as an ambient temp monitor, but will be buying an Acurite Temp / Hygrometer soon).
    Feeding tongs ($9.99 USD)
Small water dishes ($4.99 Petco, I bought ceramic hamster food dishes, and it came in a two pack, a large and small, so I can adjust humidity if it gets too dry / humid depending on the season).

I started on paper towel substrate, though just switched to Aspen, and as previous posts and other members suggested, Coco bark looks to be a good solution as well!

Good luck and happy shopping for your snake baby!
