Thanks and first thing I did was lock Dotties door lol. The boas don't really ever push unless they poop in the cage. Then its more of just a frantic windshield wiping effort like 'omg get me away from the poop'. Once I clean it, they go back to just relaxing or sometimes climbing around on the shelf or sitting on a hide. The only ones that seem to push are the pythons.

All I can picture is the boa pooping then freaking out and saying "OMG! WHAT IS THAT?! Get it away from me! OMG! It's touching me, get it off, get it off!!!"

AHH! i just had a second escape today! Irwin got out of the tub that Gimel had escaped from before! I thought no way he could fit through the same gap, well i was wrong - i think the problem is that he was strong enough to widen the gap. Two lucky breaks for me; before i even noticed he was missing, i thought i heard something moving in ceiling above the snakes (i'm in the basement). I dismissed it. My second bit of luck is that its feeding day so i had a nice stinky warm rat with me, so when i saw he was gone and first checked the easiest most obvious places, i put the rat up in the shelf near where i heard the noise and voila!
SO i's day its time for a major redesign or complete replacement of that particular enclosure - for now i literally clamped a piece of wood across it; ugly but effective in the interim.
