That may work but I have no experience with the Nano che.
If it were me I would go with a 60 watt with a dimmer, on a stand. That way it should be big enough to heat a larger tank when your snake needs one. A dimmer is $10-15 at any hardware store.
The che are much cheaper than when I was bought them.
