    Yep those work great tho hard to get high enough terra cotta water overflow pans for planters. My snakes were becoming "snurtles"....curled up and raising their hides waaaaaaaaaay up LOL!

    I found some really nice heavy rubber type dog dishes (sort of rigid but not like hard plastic would be) recently at the local Co-Op. Nice dark black and easy to cut a whole out of with tin snips (very tough rubber). I sanitized them and popped them in. The snakes love em! Nice and dark and cozy I bet. I think they cost me either $1.99 or $2.99 each.

    I wonder about hides and racks. I was reading on the Markus Jayne site and he says he doesn't use hides inside his racks at all???? Does the rack if it's one of those full sided dark ones become in effect the hide?
