    During my random thinking. Was thinking what if I caulked around each tile, that if the adhesive did melt, it would come out to the snake side of the cage.
    But I don't know either. After most of the replies, I'm now thinking, maybe the flooring tile idea may be a little too iffy.

    ....was guna be 12x12 pieces. So would only have to use 4 total squares.

    You can use silicone. It has been tested by the dart frog and aquarium people for years and is safe to use with reptiles. Once cured it is suitable for higher temperature applications, i.e. it would be more than suitable to use in an enclosure that reaches a maximum of say 95 F.
