    Your best bet is probably to pull some vet books, like what vet students would be studying for lab testing. Those would give you a lot of the information you'd need, for about the cost of a vet visit and lab testing. It's not going to guarantee that you can do testing at home, nor will it guarantee that you'll know what you're looking at once you have the book... but it's probably going to have the best information available.

    I might be able to ask a couple family members about home testing abilities.

    Any help is appreciated. I'm already about $500 into the books. I have a couple more to pick up. It is slow reading for me because event though I get the concepts I have to look up a lot of "new" words. My medical expert in the house has been reading things for me and translating. What I am learning is that a lot less is known about snakes than I thought. I am beginning to understand why the vets have issues.
