I have an oscillating fan going 24/7 in my snake room to keep the air fresh and humidity in check.

I've used this for years. You can usually get it at Petco or PetSmart as well.

this may help I'm not sure its more of a question to your question than a answer. I have a glass tank with a screened in top also with a blanket covering about 3/4 of the top I have a heat mat and a red nocturnal heat bulb on a thermostat. with a large bowl of water on the cool side. my tank is a 40 gallon and my humidity stays at 59-62% all the time. am I just lucky or is there something that I'm doing right.....

Put saran wrap over the mesh lid, leave enough for air flow so the hair doesn't go stagnant but still to keep the humidity in

not everyone has the same household environment or lives within the same climate. in my old apartment i only used saran wrap and never had to spray; my house now i have to use a CHE and spray daily. why did i move lol
