    Yeah, but I posted it and then deleted after I got an answer yesterday, since it's a public group. I'm don't want my fb friends seeing me post in groups for some reason LOL

    No. This is a corn snake. Great plains rat snakes don't come in bright oranges/reds, yellows and blacks.

    Great Plains rat snakes are from the southeast part of colorado and we are in the really far west part of the state. So I think it would be pretty rare to see one here.

    Someone posted these pictures on a local message board. I don't know exactly where the snake is and it's probably long gone by now. I told the poster it was someone's lost pet but with all the local "snake experts" insisting it's a native bull snake I doubt anything will be done.
