Lemon Pastels have to be one of my top favorite morphs -
What would those Pastels be considered now?
    F2?
They wont be sold as normal pastels, since the father is a super, correct?
They don't look like normal Lemons, specially with the head coloration.

    Hi Leon!

They're Lemons - just really nice ones! Super Lemons tend to throw lovely babies, and we're thrilled with these to say the least. Super Pastels, regardless of lineage, throw "normal" (as opposed to Super) Pastels. These are Lemons from a Super Lemon, in the same way that a Super Graziani would throw Graziani pastels, a Super Stonewashed would throw Stonewashed pastels, and a Super Blonde would throw Blondes (sorry if I missed any lines!).

The *best* part is...these photos don't do them justice. Wait till you see one in person!

    :D

I do believe one of those bad boys is going to become mine. I am too excited! This will be my first BP that isn't a normal.

Nope. Lemon pastels are lemon pastel. It doesn't make a difference that they were sired by a super. Some supers tend to throw a little nicer looking babies which can effect the asking price, but the offspring are still lemon pastels.

Then you haven't seen a whole lot of hatchling lemons! ... True lemon pastels have nice light heads like that when they hatch. ;)

They're graded though, so they'll be sold for a bit more then Lemons produced from a standard Lemon x Normal ...
    Correct?

    Correct?

Not really. Some lemon x normal breedings produce lemon hatchlings that are as nice and sometimes even better. Pastels can be very variable and in my opinion each specimen should be taken at face value first.

    Let me rephrase that ...
They're graded so, Lemon pastels produced from a Super, that look nicer then Lemons produced from another Lemon, will be sold for more ...
    Correct?

That's really a decision to be made by each individual breeder producing the lemons ... not really for me to say. There's no "blue book" that lays out the prices for this stuff.

In general I would think that unless the seller is incompetent, a nicer looking animal would go for more money no matter where it comes from?? ... but hey, I've seen stranger stuff happen.

I say you go out and write a "Ball Python Blue Book", Adam. ;)
So I guess it's all depends on the seller.

Not my place to write anything!! ... I'm still learning from the big guys that are making it possible for me to wake up every day and have fun with my balls!! ( hmmmm ... that can't be doing me any favors with our wonderful admin staff  ).

I price my snakes what I feel they are worth! ... $crew everyone else and this line or that line ... If have produce an albino that I think is worth 10 grand, that's what I'm going to charge!! I really don't even care what everyone else is pricing their stuff at.

BTW, speaking of books, what a great segway to mention that Kev@NERD (prank phone call making half to our very own, very lovely KLG) has a most excellent book coming out about ball pythons called "The Complete Ball Python" very very shortly! ... It's going to knock everyones socks off for sure!! ... Kevin is THE MAN when it comes to ball pythons and I CAN'T WAIT to get my copy!! If you own a ball python or are thinking about buying one, save up a couple of bucks and pick yourself up a copy when it hits the shelves!! :D:D:D:D

See K, I may be a shemale, but I still love you guys!! :P

Will the book be avaliable in major retailers?
    For example Barnes and Noble?
If the book will have morphs, It's already bought! :D
