    This is exactly why it is suggested to do your own research PRIOR to bringing an animal home. Take some time to learn about the animal, not just the setup info, basic care sheet and feeding requirements. Learn about the animal from various, reliable sources and don't take one person's word for anything more than one person's word. Especially pet store employees. There are some good ones out there, but the majority are just working to pay the bills and they figure working with animals for low wages is better than working in a warehouse, restaurant or other entry level job.

    Herpstat is the excellent but if you need a more budget friendly one, Jumpstart is pretty good too.
