Eventually they will be making room on Morph Market for the infamous garter snake and its multitude of morphs.
A garter was definitely the first snake I ever touched, handled, etc... but I never considered them as a possible pet for me because I wanted something I couldn't find in the woods behind my house. Garters like yours I definitely won't be finding in the woods near here though, hahaha!! I still don't see one in my near future because there are others I want to add first, but they are beautiful animals and yours are some stunning examples. My eyes are open to them now, so maybe someday...
Thanks for sharing!

The color on that male is stunning! I'm glad to see their popularity rise a bit. If only there were more Puget Sound garter breeders out there too...

. Thanks ant. I like him a lot. This is his and her first pairing and I am happy to see it is a sucess. I do have a blue puget sound project and the female is gravid. I am hoping to see her produce hatchlings soon. :)

That's great Albert! I love those guys, their colour is awesome! Do you know if the babies usually take rodents straight away?

Thanks. They really are a amazing subspecies. They typically start out with nightcrawlers chopped to size with a multivitamin supplement sprinkled or dusted over that. The best feeders in the litter graduate to f/t chopped pinky parts and nightcrawlers mixed with occaisionally offering a f/t guppy or platy. Eventually they are big enough to handle day old pink mice and move on to large pink mice f/t whole. They don't tolerate fur very well so the hairless hopper works well for sub adults and adults.
