I know your looking for yellow but since you mentioned OD fire, you may want to look into OD enchi. It's not as yellow as OD fire but it is brighter and cleaner in my experience with both, it's just orange instead of yellow. Really nice combo imo, reminds me of a tiger lol.

One other thing, if your looking for a bright and clean yellow, I would stay away from pastel combos other than desert ghost. All the others I've seen are beautiful when young but as they age they tend to get dirty or brown up. I have a pastel enchi and although he is still beautiful, his top has become very dirty looking. He still has bright yellow sides but I believe that is thanks to the enchi. Most pastels start bright yellow but as they age they turn to more of a light brown look.

My pastel fire 3 yrs old and breeding size now mind you fire helps hold color but still she didn't brown. Her Black was never truly black from the day I got her but the yellow is superhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...44755b28d1.jpg

dont take this the wrong way because it is a beautiful snake, but this would be what I consider 'dirty' it doesn't mean it's not pretty, it just doesn't have that clean yellow that I'm talking about. I need to get a pic up of my pastel desert ghost, it is the only one I have that I would consider 'clean'

Believe me I know what DG can do nothing else comes close. I was stating that you can get a pastel that will hold color

That is very true, I should have said most because I know there are some really nicely colored pastel and Patel combo adults out there, you just see a lot more that have either faded or became almost completely brown. If going the pastel route, it would be wise to see the parents if possible, it's not a guarantee but it will definitely give better odds of getting one that will hold its color well if the parents have.

i also take back that my pastel DG is the 'only' clean snake I have, I should of said it is the only clean yellow and black bp I have or have seen for that mater. There are quite a few clean morphs out there, they just are not yellow and black.

My mojave bumblebee. She's 450g now and has kept her black and yellow very nicely.

This is a gorgeous example of clean! I've never seen it before. Reminds me of my killer bee but I like how yours has the dark black to add beautiful contrast. My killer bees black is faded from the super pastel. I like yours better 😁

So in general bp tend to lighten up with age? The one above is nice yellow but I also want thicker bold black patterns. Would an orange dream pastel or orange dream yellow belly grow up with clean yellow and blacks? I just like the black patterns of an orange dream.

All bp do not lighten with age, closer to the opposite actually, most darken. One morph that is known to get lighter with age is fire and I know there is a couple others. As for OD pastel or any other for that matter, will not 'clean up' they typically get dirtier with age. The cleaner a bp is at a young age the better. Don't get one that looks dirty at a young age and think that it will clean up, it will at best stay the same or get dirtier.

You may want to look into OD fire. The fire makes them a little more yellow than orange compared to say OD enchi, mine is very orange. The adult OD fires I have seen have been very nice and clean. They are not super bright but have a very nice clean pattern.
