Re: Derma Ball
Wendy you sure do have a gecko probelm, but I have no idea what that's like. It's not like I'd travel long distances and do just about anything to get more geckos or let's say snakes... wait ... ummmmm .... nevermind  :D
I'm just glad I had enough money for the gecko, otherwise I may have found myself sold to some shop as slave labor. ;)

Nah, you work hard and are psychotic about cleaning your cages and keeping up your charts...You'd bring a great price for say a few 10 lots from Repashy's stock!! (don't worry, they're worth $750 a piece!) ;) :D

Re: Derma Ball
I'm glad to hear you've been considering my market value. :neener: I wonder how close I was, and now I'm even more glad I was able to come up with the cash!! Acutally as a stay at home mom, I'm already slave labor. Maybe I'd actually get sleep and time to myself if I was sold off. hmmmmmm. I'll have to consider this. :D

Re: Derma Ball
Thanks for replying everyone. I wasn't at Hamburg... but it seems that a lot of people showed interest in the little derma. I think his owner took this interest too seriously, personally. He shouldn't be selling these snakes for this price until this has been proved out... if he indeed plans to breed him. Again, in my opinion, it shouldn't be bred. I think the derma's problems stem from egg trauma of some other natural occurence... I don't believe it is a breedable trait. But that's just me... if someone wants to buy an unproven snake for 30,000, it's their money.

Re: Derma Ball
Ladywhipple, I did notice there were two comments on the fauna ad that were less than supportive. I believe that the response has not all been positive, but yes, I do agree it is the height of unethical standards to sell an unproven "morph" for such money. Yet if someone buys that, then I have some great land in FL I'd like to sell them too...;)
Christie...honestly, I never considered selling you...but that's cause it never occurred to me (thanks JO!!). On the bright side you probably would get better treatment than home. Being off of work for the summers makes you appreciate the work stay-at-home moms do!! I can't wait to go back to school. I get the best of both worlds, part time teacher who gets to sleep in with the kids (only 3 sections of H. Bio, works out to 3.5 hours of work a day for a great pay rate). It's worked out wonderfully for us!

Re: Derma Ball
Well at least I know to be on my toes the next time you want me to see this great looking gecko. :P Maybe I should warn Danielle and Gabby if they decide to go the the MARS show with you. ;)

Re: Derma Ball
What did he breed to get that?

Re: Derma Ball
I don't get it. What's the point of creating something like that? What kind of life is that little snake going to have? Isn't not having scales going to make it hard to move around, and not having heat pits make it hard to hunt?? I'm all for creating new morphs and stuff, but not when it seems like it's harming the snake. Crazy.
