Regrettably repeating the pairing is kind of out of the question. I have to be extremely careful about what I do and do not breed, as money is tight and I'm not that well known. Too many baby snakes translates to a lot of difficulty in housing them. However the son may be bred to the mother this coming year.

Although it is possible the mother is going to pop out some eggs this year. She's being really weird and hasn't eaten for 5 months, I'm tempted to think she's gravid.

I sincerely hope they don't turn out to be HGW. They are regrettably a line I want to avoid. But yes there are a lot of similarities to soul suckers there. I'm really hoping the striping can be bred for in time, as that would be a wonderful outcome.

From what you've posted you seem like a reliable and good breeder! If you do breed again and you get some more interesting snakes or you have too many I'll totally buy some! I don't have anything striped in my collection yet and I'd totally pay top dollar for something like the female hatchling you have! I totally dig the color and patterns!

We'll see what pops out when I breed them. With the two I have I probably wouldn't let the male go for less than a thousand dollars, and the female I'd only sway on for 20 thousand, lol. As it stands I'm fairly sure she is unique with her unbroken stripe that connects to the head patterning so it would take an unrealistic amount of money to get rid of her. But, when I breed him to the mom I'll be going for lesser super pastels, and same with him to her. Right now this is going to be a project for me. But when somewhat identical offspring come from her, then I'll be considering letting those go.

If you are talking those size nuggets you best take it back to a normal and prove there is a gene to isolate.

In time. Selective breeding to see if it comes up again, then try proving it out. It could be from a morph combination like the soul sucker, it could be the combination of a number of genetic factors, or it could be another morph in there. I am actually hoping that I have some superstripe complex gene in there.

I'm not seeing any yb stuff in there but some of those genes can be super subtle in the heterozygous form. I just started messing around with that complex and it is definitely more difficult than the BEL complex to deal with. You can get a couple year old Ivory relatively cheap to find out.

Actually there are 4 genes in that complex that interest me, 2 of which are insanely high in price right now. However I do want an OB and a Spector.

Anyway, again, selective breeding first. Son to mother, see what I end up getting from that pairing, and then either brother to sister, or nephew-halfbrother to aunt-halfsister if something really noteworthy comes out and is able to breed.

What I'm looking for in known morphs are lesser super pastels. What I'm looking for in unknown morphs is something unexpected, like the female.

Edit as an aside: Huffman is one of the morphs I really want to work with, talk about subtle, but then cross it with a black pastel and it's amazing.
