Dropped snake

Yes! That's almost exactly how it happened. I was unwinding her from her perch around my husband's neck and she didn't want to let go. She lunged out of my hand at him, assumingly to get back to her spot and he moved. Bam, she ended up on the floor. He thought she was going to bite him even though her mouth wasn't open. We've only had her a little over a week so we're still all getting used to each other.

Sometimes he loses his grip and you'll hear *THUMP* I try not to anthropomorphize them, but when that happens it's almost like he pops his head up to say "I'm good!"

Honestly, they are tougher than they appear. Provided she has no visible swelling to her spinal area etc and appears to be moving and breathing normally then just take it slowly with her xxx
