Upcoming venomous

I've only heard a rattler rattle once (I'm not from the US), but my word, that is a sound to just send shivers straight into your heart. Scarier than hearing a lion growl

Yea, that's so inaccurate of a description it's scary. While yes they're big, have you ever seen one strike? Among the fastest in the world if not at the top. They can strike sideways, backwards, top, bottom any direction with equal speed and they can strike their whole body length if they want.

Please don't ever reference ball pythons and anything venomous. Yes, they can be more tolerant than other species because they're strictly ambush, but when they want to move they can move.

i lived in south africa so yeah, i used to see them all the time. they're just nowehere near as frightening as the other snakes we used to see around- cape cobras, rinkhals's etc. never met a snake as passive as a puff adder

Except that puff adders turn into psychos at night and are sleeping mostly during the day. The thing about puff adders is the second you are in striking range you are tagged. They are one of the most dangerous snakes for his reason and account for the highest bite numbers in Africa.

to be fair I never went looking for them at night, but really dont agree with them being super agro during the day, just speaking from personal experience

although i also wouldnt go poking them with sticks like the guy in the video, which might be why i have a different opinion ��

They're ambush predators. So they don't go about striking unless they're highly ticked or you're entirely too close. While those are bad, I would fear a forest cobra over a cape cobra. I've never dealt with rinkhals, so I can't comment on that. But yea, the puffing is way more intimidating than a rattle, at least to most people I know.
