I have my thermostat probe taped to the underneath of the heat mat with my balls enclosure, as it being between the tank and mat was not allowing even transfer of heat through the glass and required me to set the temp higher (as there was an air pocket between the uth and bottom of tank that buffered heat transfer). You should be just fine taping the probe to the underneath of the pad as well, it should give you the same readings as it would between the pad and glass, so long as you make sure you secure the probe as flush to the uth as possible without covering the probe itself with tape or any other fixant. Putting anything directly over the probe (like tape or hot glue) can cause it to register temperatures improperly and could be a safety hazard for your snake and possibly yourself as well. Especially hot glue in this sense, so if you're going with glue to secure everything be careful; I highly recommend aluminium tape or electrical tape.

I wouldnt glue the thermometer probe down in the enclosure simply because I think it's a hassle to clean around wires but that's just me, id rather be able to pull everything out and clean with as minimal effort as possible.

I wont put the glue on the probe itself then, maybe at the base of the wire so that it keeps it in place

Can I use this silicone to attach them to the enclosure? Also, the probe on the thermostat goes outside, right on the uth right?

aluminum (furnace duct) for UTH with Tstat probe under the UTH like Pits diagram and Yes to the Silicone for thermometer probe and Inalso spot tack the wire with the Silicone. I put Silicone where the screw hole is over the probe and also on the other end of probe where wire goes in.. Then i put my substrate paper over the top... I buy the big Tubes of DAP kitchen/Bath if GE doesnt hold well enough for you.
The Sub Forum for Husbandry sticky "Glass enclosure setup" showes all about the UTH with Pics of how to Tape it ect...

Foil tape it to the bottom of the UTH and use a NON-contact thermometer (temp gun) to read the inside surface temperature and adjust your thermostat as needed.

Ohhh.. Well thats another ball game. Lol. Slowly unstick it about 1/4 of the way and put the probe and wire under it. Dont Bend the mat at a 90 degree angle. Pull up but out at a 45degree so you dont Crimp the wires inside. Then use a strip of Aluminum tape at the edge to not only stick it back on but to keep the heat under after you stretch those Rubber UTH's. That should be fine....ive done it and so have 80% of the people on here [emoji6]

(Or foil tape it to the center of the UTH if you don't want to unstick part of it.)

Got it. Its gonna be double checked (temp gun and thermometer) of course i dont put the foil tape right on the probe right?

Foil tape won't bother it. Just tape it [emoji1360]

Great! So, no more questions about thermostats lol Now for the thermometer probe, its not good to use tape inside the cage, so im using hot glue to keep the snakes from messing with the wires, and for that probe i cant just cover it with glue bc it messes up the readings right? So as long as the glue is not right on the probe part i should be ok right?

Use the Silicone we mentioned in the comments above.. .. Hot glue cracks and breaks off.. Silicone stretches and has more "Give" IMO. Ive had my Probe siliconed forever under my Butcher Paper.. I think I explained how above in a reply..
