Re: Did you find your lost snake?
It's happened twice for me. The first time was a few months after I got my first pair of ball pythons. Sahara got out and I found her in my closet inside a slipper. The second time was not too long ago, Cinnamon escaped and before I even noticed I heard a bag in the room rustling. Conveniently it was her

one snake, two escapes: first time was during a full enclosure cleaning where he popped out of the small tupperware and ended up under the fridge about 7' away; found him about 20 minutes after noticing he was gone.

second time he escaped i forgot to lock the enclosure before bed: the next morning i was in full-blown panic mode tearing everything in my room apart, starting closest to the enclosure. i worked my way out to the edges of my room about 6' from the enclosure, and the last place i looked was my closet. i found him completely stuffed into a box full of shoes.

i will never put either myself or my bbys in those positions again.

I've had a few escapes.... took awhile to figure out how to contain snakes the proper way. I've found almost every snake under the fridge. Yours might be elsewhere but that should be one of the first places to look. They like the warmth the condenser and compressor give off

I had a normal male lift his tank lid when I started keeping snakes. I tore the house apart trying to find him before my wife got home. Needless to say I didn't find him in time but the wife got a big kick out of me looking for him. Come to find out he was under the bookshelf that held his tank. Thankfully no escapes since then.

I've lost two snakes, and I found both of them. One just crawled out of the tub (I was dumb and didn't push it all the way back) and she just went to the back of the slot where the heat was in the rack.

The other one was more of an adventure, there was a slight crack in the tub from where I dropped it, he made that slight crack into a big crack, slipped out, left the snake room, went through the living room, across the kitchen, down the stairs, across the basement, under the door into my roommate's room. He calls me from down stairs at 3 am yelling about one of my snakes in his room to which I say 'no, not one of mine, must be a wild one'. He says 'it's brown and white'. Hmmmm...that does sound like one of my pieds. It was. :)

There was someone on here who lost their snake, found it under the water heater and it took I think several months to coax him out of there! If your dad was on the couch when he fell asleep I would start with 'inside the couch'.
