He finished writing the receipt on the building stairs.
LOL, I can imagine that !! And the jump ;)

Also, that same repairman could do some work on your neighbor's house and he could let slip something like "how can you live next to someone that has all those "giant" snakes?" Next thing you know you have your homeowners association complaining that your snakes might eat their kids and pets. Just something I would rather not deal with.
I rather they not open the "peculiar" cabinet themselves while I'm not looking. I have no neighbors "that" close and no restrictions nor homeowners association at all, thank god ;) Also none concerning reptiles in our city/county
.
They already knew about the snake from the display cage. My collection isn't worth much at all (monetary). There are far more valuable things in my house, so if someone wants to break in, it would probably be for other reasons, and I can't hide everything. There are several people and they have to get into every single room, incl. walk in closets.
That's what the alarm, German shepherd and the guns are for :) In this case, the snakes are a added deterrent, haha, they may think they run "free" at night.
I completely get your concern though, some people have collections worth into the hundred of thousands. And thefts HAVE happened to some breeders, esp. since they often have additional buildings in which they house their collections.
My snakes wouldn't be worth going to jail over, and I rather they know what's behind "door number 3" before they wonder and have a peek with my back turned, possibly causing problem ;)
