Rack System & Tub Sizes

I actually go overkill from the standard. My big females are in 110 qt tubs in racks I built myself, but it gives more head space for a deeper bedding and some branches for climbing. I call them "enrichment racks" as they sacrifice some of the vertical space economy for a more interesting environment. My small snakes I keep in 15 qt tubs until they're about 5-600 grams, then I move them up the the 110 permanent enclosures.

You're right, if you can't house a snake, or any pet for that matter, in the appropriate sized enclosure, you shouldn't house that animal at all. But, how can I know the size without asking?

So, maybe I worded the question wrong. What's the minimal size to house the animal comfortably? So, a 34x18. That's fine. No big deal. So, that's like a 50 qt I think?

It just looked like you had ball pythons and was asking what the minimum enclosure you could house them in was. Maybe I was a bit quick on the trigger, but it´s so many that think stuff is OK because it fits the owner best (When it really is more about what the animal needs)

Ok... so, it looks like V70/CB-70, 42qts or higher is the way to go.

Thank you, everyone. Going to research a bit now, see which rack system I can get.

For me, I also personally think 42 qt (3 feet long) is the bare minimum for adult females. For males, you *can* go smaller, but it really is best to give them more room whenever possible. More room while adding the extra fake foliage/hides to make up for it. I use 42 qt for my sub-adult and adults. My female is about 2000g and it seems a bit small for her. I'm actually considering moving her to my spare 110 qt just for some more head room.

When they go out to "hunt" some nights, they use the room given to them, including climbing on low branches/decor. If they're cramped in a little space and not provided with the room, of course they won't move.

(for anyone else reading, this is only regarding sub-adult~adults, not hatchlings lol)
