    finding some way to insulate the enclosure is a way to help raise the ambient temp... or add another source of heat. you sound like you have done your homework. 75 is the minimum, 80 is better. the more I have zeroed in on an 80 to 90 degree range for surface temp and no less than 78 for ambient, the more our BP's come out to lounge at night.

    Ok so I got everything I'm order and I got a new thermostat a ve-100 and everything is looking good but with out further to do here is my little worm, not the guy I got him from said I can feed him rat pups does that sound right? Also he is a super vanilla bee so far he's just being like a ball and staying in his hide should I try to feed him this coming up Wednesday or wait another week?     well growth varies of course snake to snake, but my girl is coming up on 6 months old

    do you have a scale? A good rule of thumb for babies is to feed them 10-15% of their body weight per feeding (every 5-7 days) .... my girl weighed in at 181 grams last time I weighed her about 1.5 weeks ago so rat pups fall into the perfect range (I think they generally fall between 20-30 grams)
