I try to take care of my fellow man every chance I get, I don't care if he/she is a forener, or on welfare. However, I tend to agree with what they are saying about the imigration thing. On the other hand, not too many of us would be here if it was not for imigration at some point. Part of me was here first, Cherokee/Seminole, but the rest comes from Ireland, Czechoslovakia, A touch of Germany, with a good bit of French Canadian.

Then again, when our ancestors came over, they made every attempt to be productive in life. They did something other than mooch from our government. The were patriotic and flew the new flag of thier new home. And they learned the language.

That is one thing that I hate about dealing with imigrants. It seems everyone that I stop on the road only can say "No English" or "No habla" (SP) but usually I can break through the language barrior with something simple like (without pointing at the ground say) "hay buddy, you are standing in ants". If they look down at thier feet,,,,,BUSTED,,,,, If they can resist, then I try another. If that don't work, Luclally I have an interpriter on quick dial on my phone. You would be suprised how many fall for the ant thing...lol

I also believe that they can pay taxes just as we do. After all, if they get hurt, they don't go home for health care, they go to our local hospital, and if they have no insurance, guess who pays................They drive on our roads, usually with improper vehicles/registration and with no insurance. Around here the big thing is a fake D.L. Of course then there are the imigrants that pray on other imigrants. They "Help them" and take all thier money.

Of course then there is the entrance to the stores. Oh yes, My how I love it when you have to wade through them because they will not move aside and let you in, while they look at you and speek to each other in thier language. Or follow the wife around looking and talking amongst themselves. I love that. I particularly love that one. ARGGGGGGGG , I could go on for days but I won't.

Sorry about all the sounds of ill will for I do not truly have any. I just think they should have more manners when in our society and culture. If I go to France and plan on staying more than a week or so or plan on living there, I will speak french and try to fit into thier cultures.

I hate it when the majority is forced to tip toe around the minority as not to offend...Sorry, I will stop right there because that is an entirely new rant, and it may become offencive to some. (Biting my lip and toung)

sorry about that all. But on the bright side. I love my snake!:D

    Cheers to all

I am totally ok with having to learn a foreign language in school. This year I plan on taking Latin, or Chinese (Probably Latin...because something tells me Chinese would be WAY hard). I do agree though, that people need to learn English before they can come into our country. Just the other day at Wal-Mart, some guy was trying to buy and R-rated movie...but since he couldn't speak English, when the cashier asked him for his ID he didn't do or say anything, therefore, he just got the R movie without the girl checking his license to see if he was 17 or over. Now, I know this is a very trival thing, but say I went into Wal-Mart, and tried to buy an R movie...I wouldn't be able to get it without showing them my license (which I couldn't do anyways, since I am only 14...lol). But still...it seems to me that certainly wasn't fair. I am actually stoked about being able to take a foreign language, I mean I can learn Latin...that seems pretty awesome to me.

I would love to learn Chinese or Japanese....A friend of mine told me that it is pretty easy to learn but no classes are offered here....and Latin is a dead language so it really cant do you too well in the business world...unless you are going into biology or medicine....then it may be helpful. Like I said before, being able to speak multiple languages is definately a benefit....you can communicate with a lot more people that way.

Well, what's irritating to me is when I'm giving a guided tour, sometimes (ok a lot) we get people who don't speak a lot of english. I am expected to try to give them a tour anyway.. a lot of times the people just leave me behind, even though I am talking to them. I know some of them speak some english, so they have no excuse for this rude behavior. If someone is talking to you, giving a tour, you don't just walk away and leave them! If you don't want to listen, just say so! If you live here AT LEAST learn to say 'I don't speak english'.

Rude people make me so angry..
