anyone use Boaphile cages ?

Reinz is your 6' one cage or two together? I haven't noticed any sagging on mine but have heard it as a complaint before. I do wish he had a middle ground for height, the 11" is a bit too small and the 17" is too big lol. I have one taller cage and it's wasted space but I have to work a bit to get the fatties out of the shorter cages.

To get the 6 ft length and for ease of shipping it is a two piece consisting of a 4 ft cage and 2 ft extension.

This set up works well for me for feeding. Punch is my fastest and most hard hitting snake at feeding time. So I use the opposite door from the side that he is resting. Also works good for cleaning and changing water. Punch is not shy at all and when a door opens he comes running thinking that it's time to come out and play. :)

If I didn't want the extra height, I would be all over the AP, because of the great price. But I definitely prefer a bit more height.

The "taller" ones are almost at the same price from both manufacturer. So it comes down to quality and convenience. Since I have never seen either cage in person, I have to rely on personal experiences of other owners.

The one piece design DOES appeal to me, but not if it means it is less sturdy and a lot thinner. I'm wondering how different Boaphiles "new" type is and how it stacks up to the Animal Plastic cages.

If I have swing doors, I definitely want the swing to be downwards, not sideways. I see a sideways swing as quite difficult to feed enthusiastic snakes, LOL !! I wonder why AP isn't reconsidering a down swing ? Just seems to make so much more sense in many ways !!

I guess I would have to go with sliding doors. The other thing, is there still PVC down the middle where the sliding doors meet ? Hard to tell on the picture. I want a unobstructed wide open door. Instead of 2 openings. I suppose the middle part would help with "sagging" though, but I don't find it very attractive. I like how "Going Postals" cages make such great displays, wide open, clean look !

So now its all about the materials used (thickness) and quality.
