My brother has room to work but I'm not sure he has the proper tools... I make my chinchilla stuff but that's just wood, nothing fancy. It looks interesting to make but I'm not sure I wouldn't mess it up. Lol.

Thank you all for the help, I appreciate it. You've been great. I look forward to learning more. :)

a lot of people around here use RHP (Radiant Heat Panels) that distribute heat and raise the ambient (air) temperatures to the required temps, using a thermostat to regulate them. ambient temps for a BP should never drop below 75° and most people keep their temps at or just above 80°.

So cold side ambient temp should not be below 75? What's the highest ambient temp it can be on the hot side?

yes, no lower than 75°. i don't know exactly how high it CAN be, but i'd try to keep it no warmer than like, 82°. my enclosure's ambient hovers around 78-80°.

I've been told to aim for 78 degrees ambient, this makes sense because good luck trying to keep a solid 75 without fluctuations.

Ambient temps (air through the entire tank closest to the substrate) 75-80* with a hot spot(under tank heater) 88-92*. I have a uth and a heat lamp both on thermostats. The heat lamp or ceramic heater will keep the ambient temp up in the enclosure without having to worry about heating the whole room. As far as humidity I'm still playing with but different substrates (coconut, cypress, etc) and covering the screen top (if you use a tank but you can also make a hole in a melamine or pvc enclosure) anyways. Cover in aluminum foil to keep humidity.
This forum has loads of info just scroll and read and repeat haha you'll learn a lot in just a half hour of reading
