    Yes, I do think that would be your best bet.

    Make sure you tell them that the eye caps have been coming off with the shed and you checked. So if his eyes are damaged, he may just be blind. Perhaps a GOOD reptile vet will be able to check on that. Would be nice to see whether the pupil reacts to light.

    May just be that the sight is just compromised due to the "cracks" and he does see some.

    Either way, he seems to do great with you, and animals adapt. They use other senses "heat/taste the air for info" so he will be ok, either way.

    It would just be nice to know whether this is something that may possibly cause him pain, and whether you can do anything about it.
