Anything will work as long as they are separated and you wash your hands and tools (snake hooks ect..) so that you dont transfer from one to another. I'd only start with 2 IMO... Buying 3 snakes off the bat and having a hard time with where there kept and room mates not keen on them sounds like to much non sense to me, but if you can juggle it and the snakes are well cared for more power to ya..

If you don't have any snakes right now, I'd start off getting just the one snake to keep and then see how it goes.
Once you have kept that snake for a few months and are a little more experienced, and have an appropriate area for quarantine set up then I'd think about adding another.
Start off slow, as there's no need to rush into it, especially if there's risks for passing infections into your new pets

It's quite easy to get carried away and keep adding snakes, until the cost and care might start to overwhelm you - coming from someone who went to an expo only to buy decor and supplies then coming home with 3 geckos and 2 more snakes...

Nope, I was so sick to my stomach I couldn't even talk to the original breeder. Fed a week earlier, changed water and cleaned two days prior to finding him belly up.
