Next time it happens(if it is internal parasites it will probably happen pretty often),I would clean it out, put it in a ziplock bag and bring it to the vet for testing. Intestinal parasites can kill a ball python if not treated. My first bp was an import that just so happened to be severly infected with internal parasites...had a runny poop one morning and it died that day (3 days after I bought it)... Better safe than sorry....
oh ya...if you want to do something ahead of time, try calling a few area vets to see if they can do a snake fecal(which they should). That will give you time to compare prices and such...
Hope that helps

Re: Question-urgent
My advice is to collect some poo from the next deposit and take it into the vet.
Nobody is blaming you for feeding live, and if live works then it works. You gave your snake what it needed and that's great. Whatever works for you and your snake, is what you need to do.

Re: Question-urgent
When I was cleaning up I saw a normal poo. Is there anyway he would have regurged? It didn't have any mouse parts or anything...but I mean...I found normal poo both times...so maybe it was regurge? What would it look like if it was already digested?

Hi Juliya, it is impossible to give you that diagnosis over the net. I would iterate what everyone else has already suggested: take him and a sample of the poop to the vet. I see that you are going into business of breeding and I wish you all the best. I think now would be a good time to get to know a vet :)
On a side note, I wouldn't take offence when Adam says something. If I wanted to get into the breeding business, what better source of information(free courtesy of bp.net) than someone who has bred them for years and years :)
Just my humble opinion. And good luck once again with your business :)

Re: Question-urgent
Ya...I noticed your snake is not sexed either. I would just find a good vet, wait to the next poop, and bring the bp and poop to get checked out. Sexing and a fecal should cost you around $70 or less.

Some people not as nice as I might point out how hypocritical that is. ;)
Good luck with your snake. :D

Re: Question-urgent
I fed two live fuzzies ONE time. Seems like everything I post you have something negative to reply back about it. Sorry if I get defensive...thats just the way I am. I don't like feeding live, and I avoid it at all costs, but since my little Xerox is a baby, I want him to eat.

First, let me say that I think that you are a very attentive owner who obviously cares very deeply for her animals. Your willingness to go out on a line and post questions despite possible negative feedback is evidence of that.
While you may notice I do not own a snake my sister is obsessed with hers and I feel like I may as well, as I agonized with her over getting her temps and humidity right, the excitment we shared when her first snake ate and her first perfect shed. We both researched all aspects of husbandry and care for her snakes.
One thing I can say as a pet owner, a mother and a teacher is that there is always room for more learning. To take an adament position sometimes closes your mind to new ways of doing things. IMO I feel that you should do what is best for you and your pet, if that means p/k or f/t then by all means that is what you should do. But there are also many successful ways to feed live from what I've read and advice I've heard. To be so condescending about feeding live you have to realize you may be offending or even throwing the proverbial gauntlet down to those who successfully do so. As with anything there is a good way and a bad way to go about doing things.
Never give up the opportunity to learn (or at least learn your oppenents point of view so you can better argue yours!). There are many people here with a lot of experience and who have successfully been breeding for years as well those who are new and all have something to contribute.
Just a bit of insight, so hopefully you won't get so defensive even while it may have been provoked... :P ;) :)
Happy posting all! Your friendly neighborhood peacemaker! :D
