    Actually how about this, I could use a flat board the size of the tub to put in the bottom of the tub, that way if it floods the board lifts all the rodents out of the water!

    How many of them boards do you have? They will absorb urine so you would need to throw them out.
    Flooded tubs don't happen often, I check my systems daily.

    That is awful! At least the male survived, but still super sad :(

    Reptile Basics has clips for wire mesh...like the others said I think it's just a risk in the end.
