Well, I'm not quitting until I find another job. I can't have no money coming in..

Exactly right Shelby! My granny used to have a saying about "cutting off your nose to spite your face" or something to that affect. Reality is reality and bills have to be paid while you look for something better.

Hmm what sort of training do the people that do these inspections have to take? Maybe that's a possible future career for you?

Good luck on the job search. Even with a rotten employer it's best to leave on the best terms you can.

Yeah, that's my thinking exactly, Frankykeno.

As far as the inspection job.. I would rather not have to work with pissy people and telling them what they're doing wrong with their animal care. For me.. more animal work and less people work is good. :)

So sorry this happened! I hope you find another job.

I know how you feel with the person wanting a tour after closing hours. My mom works at a dance studio and it closes at 8:30, but it never fails that some kids mom is late so we end up staying at a dance studio all night until some kids mom gets there.

O.K. Shelby, here is a pointer or two from the cheep seats!

First, if you report your employer, start at the humaine society. Believe me, I have seen them folks get all puffed up and cranky over far less. Second, If you do wind up reporting your boss to anyone, and you receive any type of retrabution, contact your local A.C.L.U. and put them to work on a wistle blowers act suit. ( I have also gotten an upclose look at that, not personally, but with someone else at my work.. That cost the city that I worked for around $100,000 in lawyers fees and an additional $50,000 payment to the victim... As far as the late tours, I hate to hear that. One thing I would make sure of is are you getting paid for the over time. If not, Federal Wage and Hour.

As for the animal inspector thing, just think about it, If you became one, You could go back there and have FUN!!! (Grinning Mischievously)

At any rate, good luck with the hunt for gainfull employment and congrats on having integrity, honor, and values for it is hard to find that these days.

    Good luck

Well, I'm a part timer, so I don't get that! They take advantage of their employees in many ways. You even get yelled at if you write your schedule down when you're on the clock! It takes all of thirty seconds to write a weeks schedule..

So.. anyway, I went to Petsmart for the employment seminar thing and filled an application. I'm hoping to get a job either in their specialty department, or in the dog grooming salon (I do dog grooming as a side job on my own). The manager asked everyone there an interview-like question, and he asked me what kind of manager I wouldn't want to work for.. I made the mistake of saying 'the one I work for now!' I guess it's not the best practice to complain about your current boss to a potential new boss.. *sigh* I am still naive.

Keep prayin' for me, guys! I want this job!
