I've never caught mine in the act but I know it happens very fast. I've been with them and left for a couple hours and when I came back they had shed.

My 3 year adult sheds like clockwork between 5 and 6 weeks. I heard they slow down with age.... We got my hatchling at 2.5 month old and she's 4.5 months old now. She's shed once with us.
