    It may just have died from stress. I've tried to save numerous baby bunnies over the years that my own and other's pets have brought home and I've yet to have a long term survivor though we've did very well with a baby robin last year. Wild babies are just hard to keep going long enough to get them past that massive stress.

    It was nice you cared even for a little mole (I may not like moles but I don't like anything to survive needlessly).

    Yeah, it's very hard to keep those little wild baby critters alive. The younger they are, the smaller their chance for survival, and bunnies are the absolute worst. A couple of loud thumps is enough to give them a heartattack. Poor little things. It's always worth a try though.
