The active ingredient in both PAM and NIX/RID is permethrin, which has a half-life of 30 days as long as it is kept out of direct sunlight. When used as a yard/kennel/barn/stable spray for ticks or fleas in an outdoor sunny area its half-life is a week. So, if used in a tank with a UV bulb I wouldn't count on it being effective for the full 30 days.

Really Pam? The cooking spray I've never heard of that and I'm using racks and it's just my small rack that has them and I only have 4 snakes but only 1 seems to have them as I never see mites on any other snakes
