Huffing and puffing?

I've never heard my BP make noise but my Burmese and boas use to...

My BP has done drive by hissing at me when she is moody and I bug her lol. She is happy to come out and explore but sometimes gets cranky if it accompanied by me bugging her lol.

As for the huffing on your snake, she might have been upset by being grabbed around the middle and squeezed. That would almost feel like a predator. All of bigger heavier bodied girls will make noises like a hose leaking air here and there when they are out and cruising around on me or stuff. The smaller ones like BP and my JCP don't make any noise, well except the JCP will just bite you flat out lol. And the dumerils and retic are still babies so they aren't big enough yet to have their body weight really affect their breathing when out and active.

I haven't heard her make sounds in her tank, but she sits and stares up at the lid all the time waiting for food - at least I think that's why, but her mouth is closed.
She also sits with her bodyssey in the tank and her an end outside on top of it.
She was out today and don't make any noise. (Hubby wasn't really squeezing her so much as stopping her from squeezing him, lol.

Yes, it's not a long ssssssssss but a Pppphhhh! hahaha.

When I first got my BP, she hissed at me really quick-like. Opened mouth, strike, then hissed. Weirdly... like a kitten.

Was cleaning the beepers last night and figured it would be the perfect time to finally get this video and wouldn't you know it, she didn't hiss or even puff up at all. For the first time ever. Figures.
