    Well that's why you tape it away from the light. This works much better than foil, I can tell you that from experience of when I had scorpions which required really high humidity. Long term solution would be a rack which would hold humidity better, or an AP cage which would also do that.

    All good suggestions above, the only thing I would add is, A: I don't like ispagnum moss because it gets gross kind of quickly so I would opt for paper towels/washcloths/sponge. B: for the long term consider ditching the glass tank for a plastic reptile enclosure à la animal plastics or some similar product. The difference in both humidity and heat retention is terrific
