Oh ok. That makes since. I was thinking its a certain % of all the total eggs. Thanks for the info. Maybe me friend really did buy Het Albinos he was just unlucky. I hope he produces some next year.

Your way of thinking was similar, but not quite the same. If you think about it like Deborah explained, then it helps you remember that what happens in one egg has absolutely nothing to do with what happens in the others. Kind of like flipping a coin - just because you got heads this flip (with a 50/50 chance at heads or tails) it doesn't mean that you're more likely to get tails the next flip.

As others have said, a male Albino will go a long ways towards clearing the air. :gj:

Yeah, sometimes you have to remind yourself that each egg having a 25% chance of being an albino means that each egg ALSO has a 75% chance to NOT be albino. The odds look way worse when viewed that way.

However, although each egg has a 25% chance to be albino, the odds that out of 52 eggs none produced an albino is very low. Just like the coin tossing example, although each flip has a 50/50 chance to be heads or tails, the odds of you flipping heads 100 times in a row is highly unlikely.

I calculate that out of 52 eggs, you have a 99.9999681% chance to get at least 1 albino assuming both parents are het albino.

Over 99% and no albinos. Either they was normals or my friend is the most unluckiest guy in the world.

Sounds very unlikely. But with the example Deborah gave, 29 eggs between a het and a visual may be even more unlikely. Anything's possible.
