    Looking back I could have done it cheaper buying pre-made but I needed specific dimensions.

    Gosh, that is pretty pricey for just materials, but it's good to know. The big money really comes in the RHP and good thermostats for it, which practically doubles the total price. If I added an RHP and a vivariums electronics thermostat onto my cage, it would be about $300 for the whole setup.

    Make sure you have someone to help you put the cage where you want it, built one for one of my beardies and I was surprised how heavy it was but not nearly as bad as the beautiful cherry cage I built for my other beardie.
