Re: New Dumerils Behavior
I tried feeding a f/t hopper mouse yesterday. He seemed interested but didn't take. I left it in overnight on top of his box where he was hanging out. This morning I found the mouse knocked off the box and he was buried under the aspen. So he didn't eat :(
I'll try again next week. Perhaps I should try braining the mouse? Any other suggestions?

Sometimes i wiggle the mouse using feeding tongs to make it seem more life-like.

Did you make sure the baby was eating when you bought him? Sorry your little man isn't eating.
Yeah, I wiggled it around and did the little mouse dance. He came up to it and seemed interested, but never struck. I was told he's eaten 8 times. Breeder says he'd been eating f/t, but she had to leave it overnight. It happens. I'll let him settle in for another week and try again.
