    I only ask as I read of a similar case few years ago where a Royal was very active during the day and it clearly was distressed .... when they checked the temps - the the stat had failed and the temp was about 100 at the coolest part ...

    She has a wooden hide as her cold hide with some foliage over the front part which faces the room, and her hot hide is a stone effect one (http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/reptile_cave.php)

    I've just checked temps and it's 32 c in the hot side, and 23 c in the cold side (Which is a bit cold). Humidity is at 62%.
