    Agreed. I think just having a pet and taking care of it helps with many forms of mental illness, including depression, even. But I personally view it like you would medication.

    Good for a proactive approach, but not a good emergency reactive thing like anxiety attacks/panic attacks.

    Since getting Wheatley, I've found that plus my medication has been incredibly therapeutic. Though, I think having an animal that needs a little more than a rodent once a week at most and cleaning a little less than that might be a bit more beneficial.
