You'll be surprised how quickly he'll digest that rat. Two days and it will look like he hasn't eaten. I usually handle on the second day after feeding. Mine also eats in shed but needed the prey offered 3 times the last three times I offered in shed (struck coiled and got distracted twice before finally swallowing). You're going to love keeping that snake. So much personality and will definitely keep you on your toes
